Carver refuses to be hospitalized and continues with the investigation, despite warnings it could cause his death. Renee learns of Carver's collapse, and Carver contacts Raymond in a desperate attempt to solve the case.

The Gracepoint murder case comes to a close when Detective Carver and Detective Miller finally catch Danny's killer.
